ABSTRACT:There are many types of orthodontic movements that make the clinical routine a real challenge. With the arrival of the skeletal anchorage, it became easier to solve many problems, such as anchorage, tipping, intrusion among others. The purpose of this article was to review absolute anchorage, including indications, implantation site, and any type of orthodontic feature.
