A warm welcome to all the readers and all the people associated with the journal- International Journal of Applied Dental Sciences. The aim of our journal is to educate the public, motivate doctors and students. This journal deals with all aspects of dentistry and oral health, including psychological aspects of dentistry.

As we all know that we are living in the era of evidence based medicine and dentistry where there is integration of best research evidence with clinical expertise and patient values. Evidence-based dentistry (EBD) as per American Dental Association is an approach to oral health care that requires the judicious integration of systematic assessments of clinically relevant scientific evidence, relating to the patient's oral and medical condition and history, with the dentist's clinical expertise and the patient's treatment needs and preferences. So, we have to update our knowledge for the treatment of current diseases.

This requires active participation from our side to promote research works by publishing. In the twentieth century, various manufacturers are taking keen interest in research activities to predict the degree of success of their products. But there should be a proper record of the research work to make the data from research useful. As per George Bernard Shaw-“The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place”. I hope this journal will provide a platform for the dentists and researchers in the field of dentistry to take their knowledge, skills and findings to a bigger step. At the end, our research work should contribute towards the development of mankind and not the destruction of it.

As we all know that to climb a ladder of success each step matters and so are the people associated with the construction of each step. So, I will do my duty as an Editor in chief in this journal whole heartedly to uplift the quality of the research in the field of dentistry.

Acceptance: Materials for publication should have high source of credibility coming from experts in different fields. The selection of manuscripts is based on unbiased and constructive criticism from reviewers.
