Abstract:
Purpose: The study was aimed at studying treatment effects of Twin Block on Class I div 1 malocclusion. The relevance of this study lies on the fact that Class II div 1 malocclusion is most frequently encountered malocclusion in our day to day clinical practice. Materials and Methods: Pretreatment and post treatment cephalometric radiographs were assessed and treatment effects were observed by comparing pretreatment and post treatment values statistically using Students “t” test. Results: All the variables except cranial base measurements were found to be significantly changed after Twin Block treatment. Conclusion: Twin Block treatment does produce significant changes and can be used routinely to treat Class II div 1 malocclusion due to increased patient compliance.
