ABSTRACT:Apart from the professional care taken during surgical phase, professional implant maintenance and patient home care play very important role in deciding the long term success of osseointegrated implants. The patients are to be educated about the importance of proper oral hygiene maintenance and its effect on the dental implant prosthesis. This article reviews about the evaluation of implants and various professional and home care methods of dental implant prosthesis.
