ABSTRACT:The choice of appropriate definitive restoration of endodontically treated teeth should be guided by the amount of remaining hard tissues as well as functional and aesthetic considerations. Post and-core materials with biomechanical properties similar to the dentin could also be advantageous in reducing the risk of root fractures. The high performance polymer Poly-ether-ether-ketone (PEEK) is an example of one such type of material. This case report describes the restoration of endodontically treated mandibular premolar with the use of CAD-CAM milled post and core system followed by restoration with full coverage porcelain fused to metal crown.
