ABSTRACT:Isolation of the operating field is a fundamental aspect in pediatric dentistry, which requires greater attention and care in relation to various treatments since the risk of damage to the soft tissues is increased due to sudden movements of children. There must be proper control of moisture, good accessibility and visibility as well as be spacious for instrumentation around the working area. Such an environment is necessary for easy manipulation and insertion of restorative materials.
