Deep margin elevation: Raising the bar in adhesive restorations - A case series

ABSTRACT:Treating subgingival deep carious defects can be clinically challenging owing to the difficulty in obtaining sufficient restorative access and a moisture-free field for bonding. Traditional restorative and surgical approaches are aggressive. In keeping with modern restorative materials and techniques, the deep margin elevation procedure has evolved as a simple and convenient means to manage hitherto difficult cases. Clinical cases detailing the step wise procedure for deep margin elevation have been described with emphasis on magnification and isolation as the key to success
